Odds and Ends

I've been quite busy, but this week I've managed to get some stuff finished, so I thought I'd post some pictures.

First off is more of a decorative piece, this is a Churchill 3" Gun Carrier painted up as one of the tanks assigned to 1st Canadian Army Tank Brigade (see here for more details).

 Next up, these two Centurions reinforce my Jordanians, bringing them up to a full company of Centurions. Sadly they are not needed quite so much now, as the points per tank have been boosted in the updated book, but it's good to get them finished!

Finally the last bits are for Imperial Assault. A trawl of the internet, access to a 3D printer and a bit of paintwork has gained me these terminals and crates. The other models were painted by my mate Chris.

The Big Cat Rescue

I thought I'd show you some pictures of my 9 latest rescued cats, in this case second hand Tiger Is.
All of these have been acquired second hand, based and primed. While doing this I noticed I had an early model Tiger in the batch. Rather than disgard this to a MW force, I decided it could be one of the Kampfgruppe Hummel training tanks, hence the red oxide primer road wheel and hatch and the replacement dark grey primer gun barrel. Not a bad addition to my Germans I think!

Marder IIIs and Shermans

Another week, another painting update. This week I've managed to take my new Plastic Soldier Company Marder III Hs, together with my captured Forged in Battle Sherman V and Firefly Vc from a basecoat of Dunkelgelb and airbrushed camo to finished. Pictures are below, I'm very pleased with them, they are all really nice models. As the majority of my German stuff is Forged in Battle, I tend to base up every other German vehicle so it matches. In this case it also helps protect the barrel!

On the Russian Steppe, 4 Marders guard the ridge line from a Soviet count attack.

Meanwhile a convoy of captured Sherman tanks heads back to the front.

8-rads, Tigers and Flakpanzers, oh my!

Here is my latest batch of toys for the Germans, 8-Rad armoured cars, Flakpanzer 38(t) anti-aircraft tanks and 3 Henschel Model King Tigers.

 Mind, even if there is trouble, the King Tigers they are escorting should be able to handle it!
